After victories over Brighton and Wrexham, the Blues manager will assess his team’s third friendlies of the summer as Chelsea looks to maintain their unbeaten start. Fans will be hoping to see Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku play together before the season opener against Liverpool. Both players have had promising starts to their time with the club, making contributions in each of their prior games.

Reece James and Noni Madueke, who were both left off the team to play the Seagulls, might receive some news. So far, Pochettino has taken care to maintain his team’s fitness well.

The opposition on Wednesday might also draw attention, since Newcastle is expected to be a significant rival in Chelsea’s quest to play in Europe next season.
