The Super Falcons, the national women’s football team of Nigeria, are riding a wave of confidence as they try to extend their remarkable unbeaten streak of six games.

The Super Falcons haven’t suffered a loss in a game since defeating Costa Rica 1-0 in the Revelation Cup five months ago.

Now, in what should be an exciting match, Coach Randy Waldrum’s team takes on Ireland in their last group match.

The nine-time African champions have defied expectations in Group B, taking the lead going into this pivotal match against all odds.

The Super Falcons are on the verge of qualifying for the Round of 16 following victories against Australia and Canada, as well as a well-earned draw against Canada.

Ireland is making its first appearance on the international stage whereas Nigeria has a distinguished history as one of only seven nations to have competed in every FIFA Women’s World Cup since it began in 1991.

The Green and Whites will definitely be motivated to restore some respect as they take on the tough Nigerian team, despite the fact that they are facing elimination after straight losses to Canada and Australia.

Kickoff is set for 11:00 a.m. Stay tuned for all the action!

Nigeria Starting XI

Nigeria: Chiamaka Nnadozie (GK), Ashleigh Plumptre, Osinachi Ohale, Toni Payne, Asisat Oshoala, Christy Ucheibe, Uchenna Kanu, Blessing Demehin, Rasheedat Ajibade, Halimatu Ayinde, Michelle Alozie.
