The Reds have little over a week now to get any outstanding business done should they wish any potential additions be involved in their opening Premier League fixture against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

It remains to be seen if or when a third offer is launched for Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, who might be in Championship action for his current club this evening – one to keep an eye on.

Otherwise rumours continue to link Andre Trindade of Fluminense, while Brighton & Hove Albion have dealt a blow to anyone monitoring Moises Caicedo with their transfer stance.

Lavia fails to feature

Romeo Lavia remained an unused substitue for Southampton in their 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday this evening.

Russell Martin opted against starting the Belgian for the Saints’ first match of the new season and decided against bringing him on during the contest.

Three players were introduced from the bench during the game, though Lavia was not one of those

Kamada makes Lazio move

Former Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder Daichi Kamada has signed for Lazio.

The Japanese star was linked with a move to Liverpool earlier this year, though has opted to head to Italy after his deal at Eintracht expired.
