The world of football’s midfield may very well belong to Real Madrid. They have two all-time greats in Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, some of the world’s top young players like Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Arda Guler, and a player like Fede Valverde who appears to be entering his prime.
Giving each player enough playing time may be the biggest issue Real Madrid faces this year. Carlo Ancelotti opted for a 4-4-2 system in preseason.
But if Kylian Mbappe joins the club, which is very much a possibility, Real Madrid are expected to go back to their familiar 4-3-3 formation. That would reduce one midfield spot and increase competition further in the middle of the park.
In that scenario, it might make sense for the club to let go of one of their midfielders. And there is one player in particular, who has been drawing a lot of interest this summer
While speaking on the Born And Red YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano said that Liverpool are super fans of Aurelien Tchouameni and Jurgen Klopp likes the player. But Real Madrid consider him to be crucial and the Frenchman wants to compete for his place at Santiago Bernabeu.
As a result, at this point in time, Liverpool or any other club signing Tchouameni seems unlikely. Of course, we all know that things can change very quickly in football. Especially if Mbappe ends up joining the club.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Tchouameni. He is an excellent prospect even though his debut campaign with Real Madrid was unconvincing. He deserves at least another season to show what he is capable of in the Royal White jersey before the possibility of an exit is even entertained.
