Last night Chelsea took the step to confirm details of a player departure to clear up some confusion around it.

Winger Hakim Ziyech has left the club but only on loan, and many fans were left wondering whether the outcast would be returning to the club at the end of his loan deal.

But fear not, Ziyech has left the club on loan but with an obligation for the loaning club to buy him at the end of the season, which is basically a permanent transfer.

Chelsea put out an article on their website last night confirming Ziyech has completed a season-long loan to Galatasaray, with an obligation to make that move permanent.

So Chelsea fans will be happy, Chelsea will be happy, and Ziyech will be happy, after his time at Chelsea turned into a real nightmare come the end with failed moves elsewhere and Ziyech not even making the squad.
