These are the latest transfer rumours from the Premier League and around the world on Sunday, August 20.
Reds ‘one step away’ from deal
Nacional report that Liverpool are “very close” to signing Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat – and already have an agreement in place with him.
It has looked for months as if United would land the Moroccan star, with the midfielder already said to have had his bags packed for Old Trafford.
But United have yet to submit an official bid to Fiorentina for his signature, meaning he is still up for grabs.
The Spanish publication state the Reds are “very close” and report the 26-year-old “already has an agreement” with the Anfield side. They conclude by saying he is now “one step away from joining”.
United manager Erik ten Hag has worked with Amrabat before. This deal is one to watch.
Spurs make contact over Chelsea striker
Tottenham have made contact with Chelsea over the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.
The Blues are keen to get the Belgian striker off their books. He spent last season on loan with Inter Milan but the Italian club pulled out of the race to sign him earlier this summer.
Lukaku had been in talks with Serie A rivals Juventus but Italian outlet Calciomercato now report Spurs are interested in the former Manchester United man.
“Initial preliminary contacts have already taken place”, they state, but it has not yet “led to anything concrete”.
Arsenal eyeing teenager
Arsenal are again being linked with Real Valladolid youngster Ivan Fresneda.
The 18-year-old is said to have his heart set on a move to the Premier League, with Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon also keen on his signature.
Other top-flight British clubs are keeping tabs too, meaning Arsenal will have to overcome stiff competition to land the teenager.
Real Valladolid are said to be demanding €15million for him. Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all mentioned as admirers.
The Gunners are in the market for another right-back after new £40million signing Jurrien Timber was ruled out for the majority of the season having been injured on his debut.
