According to a report by The Redmen TV, Liverpool are very keen on having Andre in their ranks. The 22-year-old midfield sensation has been on fire in the recent past and the Merseyside club are desperate to sign him as soon as possible.
Liverpool want to acquire the Brazil international’s services in the ongoing transfer window but Fluminense are not ready to let him leave until the end of the year. As a result, Jurgen Klopp’s men are looking to complete a deal that will see Andre join the Reds in the winter transfer window.
Andre was promoted to Fluminense’s first team back in March 2021. Since making it to the senior team, he has featured in a total of 148 matches and has even contributed towards six goals. He has established himself as a regular and has become very integral to their success of late.
In the 2022-23 season, he has featured in a total of 40 matches and racked up close to 3,500 minutes. His impressive performances have resulted in him being called up to the Brazil national team.
While his contract with Fluminense runs until the end of 2026, he will most likely part ways with the club at the start of next year. Liverpool are the ones keen on having him in their ranks and are very close to striking a deal with the Brazilian club.
The Merseyside club are in desperate need of a young defensive midfielder. They recently parted ways with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, their departure has left a huge void. While Wataru Endō’s arrival does help their cause, they still need more depth in the centre of the park.
They have been monitoring the 22-year-old for a few years now and are looking to offer €30 million to acquire his services before the end of the transfer window. But, the Brazilian club are not looking to sell him in the ongoing window.
They want to keep him at the club until the end of the year. Fulminense are hopeful of winning the Conmebol Libertadores and the Brazil international is quite important to their chances. As a result, they are keen on keeping him at the club.
With Fulminense not ready to offload him in the ongoing window, Liverpool could end up striking a deal that will see the 22-year-old make the move to England in the winter.
