There’s now just five days left to go until the end of the 2023 summer transfer window and Premier League clubs do not look like they are going to stop spending any time soon.

Manchester United have been among the highest spenders this summer but Erik ten Hag is still keen to add more new names to his squad. He wants a new midfielder and is chasing Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat.

Elsewhere, a left-back is also on the Red Devils’ shortlist with Chelsea flop Marc Cucurella among the names that they could move for before the end of the window.

Speaking of the Blues, they continue to welcome a host of new faces to Stamford Bridge. Todd Boehly’s Blues spending is now creeping towards the £1bn mark.

One man who could also be about to cash in before the end of the month is Mo Salah. The Liverpool star is being eyed by Saudi outfir Al-Ittihad.

Finally, Manchester City and Arsenal could still seal lat deals before the window slams shut on Friday evening.

Man Utd in swap deal talks

Manchester United are reportedly in talks with German giants Bayern Munich regarding a swap deal involving academy graduate Scott McTominay.

That is according to Bild, who state that the Scottish midfielder could be set for a move to the Allianz Arena, with Ryan Gravenberch heading to Old Trafford in part-exchange.

The Dutchman played under Erik ten Hag with Ajax.

Salah ‘agrees’ to Saudi move

Liverpool could soon be set to lose the services of star forward Mohamed Salah, with a number of claims suggesting hat he is closing in on a switch to Saudi Arabia.

According to beINSport, a deal has been agreed with Al-Ittihad. That would see Salah earn around £191million per season over the course of a three-year deal.

Asked about a move after yesterday’s win over Newcastle, Jurgen Klopp said: “For me, it has [finished].”

Forest close in on Ndidi deal

Nottingham Forest are set to raid East Midlands rivals Leicester City amid their search for a midfielder.

According to talkSPORT, the Reds are keen to add to their midfield options before the end of the window. It is reported that they are close to signing Nigerian Wilfred Ndidi.

He has just one year left on his contract at the King Power Stadium but has started every league game under new boss Enzo Maresca.

West Ham plot late Maguire deal

Harry Maguire may yet head to West Ham on a season-long loan.

According to The Sun, the Man United defender has altered his stance on wanting to stay at Old Trafford after he was an unused substitute in the win over Nottingham Forest.
