Hello and welcome to the soccerhuz.com live coverage of the Europa League group stage draw.
Liverpool missed out on the Champions League this season after a disappointing previous Premier League campaign. However, the Europa League gives the Reds another potential route back into Europe’s top tier competition and with the final scheduled for Dublin next season, there is potential for adventures for fans following the campaign.
While Liverpool are the clear favourites for the tournament, there are some big names alongside them as seeded outfits. They include Ajax, Roma, Villarreal and West Ham United, who won the Conference League last term to qualify for the tournament.
The Reds do have good memories of the competition, having won it three times in their history – most recently in 2001. Jurgen Klopp also steered his team to the final in 2016 – the last time Liverpool were in the tournament – although they were beaten in the final by specialists Sevilla.
