Kylian Mbappe would reportedly be tempted to move to Liverpool if the Reds were to move for the PSG forward in 2024.
According to L’Equipe, the French superstar will entertain the Anfield side at the end of this season with Mbappe set to leave Paris, with Liverpool long-term admirers of the 24-year-old.
Whilst Real Madrid remain the clear favourites for the attacker, Liverpool could be a left-field option for Mbappe, especially if the Reds return to the UEFA Champions League next season.
In most timelines, the prospect of Mbappe joining Liverpool is simply a non-starter due to the finances that would be involved in such a transfer.
However, with Mohamed Salah potentially leaving Liverpool for what could be a world-record offer of £200m, the Reds could actually have the money now needed to sign Mbappe.
Indeed, the French international is arguably one of only a handful of attackers who could ever replace Salah at Liverpool, yet should the stars align, something could be done in 2024.
The dominos that would need to fall into place for Mbappe to join Liverpool are specific and unlikely, but there’s no denying that the 24-year-old is the dream candidate to replace Salah at the club.
Whilst not a natural right-sided forward, Mbappe’s reputation as arguably the best attacker in football will make the transition an easy one for the PSG man, especially with Jurgen Klopp as his new coach.
Moreover, with Mbappe linked with Liverpool for what feels like forever, the forward himself now seems keen on joining the club if for some reason a move to Madrid fails to materialise.
