The international break might not hold too much interest for Liverpool fans, but the next 24 hours will no doubt be interesting for many.
Although the transfer window has now closed for much of Europe, there are still some places free to do business, and clubs in Saudi Arabia will no doubt be keeping themselves busy before tomorrow’s deadline.
Top of the list for clubs in the Gulf state is none other than Mohamed Salah, with Al Ittihad reportedly readying a second bid of $251m (£200m/€234m), according to the Daily Mail.
But he isn’t the only familiar face linked with a move to the Middle East at the moment, with a former Liverpool star said to be on his way to Qatar. Meanwhile, Manchester United is said to have been interested in a player linked to Anfield, only to have pulled out of any potential deal before the Premier League’s window shut.

Manchester United decided against João Palhinha move
Manchester United was interested in making a move for Fulham midfielder João Palhinha before settling on a loan deal for Sofyan Amrabat, according to The Athletic.
A move to Bayern Munich collapsed on deadline day for Palhinha, and it seems the German champion wasn’t the only club interested. According to the report, Erik ten Hag was also keen on making a move for the 27-year-old but decided to pull out of any potential deal when Bayern ramped up its interest.
Barcelona set for Philippe Coutinho payday
Barcelona will receive 50 per cent of the profit Aston Villa makes from selling Philippe Coutinho to Qatari side Al Duhail, according to 90min. The report suggests Coutinho has traveled to Qatar for a medical after agreeing personal terms. The Brazilian made a $178m (£142m/€166m) move from Liverpool to Barcelona back in 2018, but has since struggled to replicate his Anfield form anywhere else.
