The Dutch youth international is regarded as one of Ajax’s most exciting prospects, with Hato this season starting every game for the Amsterdam-based club and playing every minute.
Lauded by Target Scouting as a player with ‘incredible composure’, the defender is tipped to go straight to the top, with Liverpool now interested in signing Hato.
With a defender on Klopp’s shopping list having failed to address the issue in the summer, Hato could be a brilliant option for the Reds looking ahead at the January market.
However, given that Hato is now a starter for Ajax and that centre-back won’t turn 18 until March, Liverpool might struggle to sign the youngster with his value increasing every week.
Ajax’s ability to create wonderkids on an almost annual basis is something to be admired, and Hato is certainly this season’s candidate, with Liverpool now interested.
As a result, the Reds will need to start putting in work right now if they’re to have any chance of signing the youngster in the January market.
More games and minutes in Europe will see Hato’s valuation explode in the coming weeks, and Liverpool need to get in early to sign the defender at the start of 2024.
