After a two-week hiatus, the Premier League returns with Jurgen Klopp’s side getting the Week 5 schedule underway. The Reds boss has seen his team struggle in these kick off slots in recent times, although the encouraging start to the new season will spring hope that the winless run of 12:30 p.m. fixtures will not extend into a seventh game.
While Trent Alexander-Arnold will definitely sit the game out due to injury, there are a number of other potential fitness issues for Klopp to contend with. Darwin Nunez, Alisson and Alexis Mac Allister have all been on international duty in South America and only recently arrived back in the country.
It could be a big day for summer signing Ryan Gravenberch though. The Dutchman opted out of his international commitments to focus on integrating himself into Liverpool life and could make his debut in the Midlands.
Arguably the nadir of Liverpool’s previous season came at Wolves, when they were hammered 3-0 in a miserable display. The team – fresher, fitter and in fine form – have a perfect opportunity to put things right and temporarily move to the top of the Premier League table.
Ian Doyle and Paul Gorst will all be at Wolves to bring you live updates on the action, as well as team news, analysis and reaction.
