Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has been urged to repair his relationship with manager Erik ten Hag.
Jadon Sancho is currently training alone at Manchester United after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.
Sancho disputed Erik ten Hag’s assessment that he had been training below required standard, and hit out on social media.
ESPN report Sancho has refused to apologise to Ten Hag, and there is now a stand-off between the pair.
Jadon Sancho has not played any football since August and has not started a single game this season.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have started the season poorly, losing four out of seven Premier League games.
Former Premier League forward Robbie Earle told his NBC Sports podcast that Sancho must recognise his current situation is a ‘stain on his career’.
He said: “Why isn’t Jadon knocking on his [Ten Hag’s] door tomorrow morning, having seen the game and watched, and saying ‘gaffer I’ve made a mistake, I can help you get out of this situation, what do I need to do?’
“As professionals in the game we’ve all had fallout with managers, and had to have difficult conversations.”
He added: “Jadon, get off your backside, go and see the manager, and get playing again.”
No sign of situation improving
There is currently no indication Jadon Sancho is ready to do what Earle suggests, and repair his relationship with his manager.
It would be for the good of Manchester United for Sancho to make good with Ten Hag and get back on track.
This move would also be in Jadon Sancho’s interests too. But he either just can’t see it, or is too stubborn for his own good.
