Arsenal and Sheff Utd’s 1999 match was redone since the game’s integrity had been violated. The integrity of the game on Saturday was compromised, though it wasn’t really Spurs’ fault. Nevertheless, they should acknowledge that they didn’t win because they were superior, but rather because of a mistake by the officials, and they should ask the Premier League to allow a rematch.
But they won’t.
Liverpool should not let this slide, in my opinion, and should at the very least try to hire Cook, Howard Webb, and England. We recently lost the League championship due to the officials’ mistakes [Everton Man City Rodri handball], therefore we shouldn’t have to.
