There always seems to be something when the Liverpool players depart for international duty. There is usually some sort of injury or issue, with late returns for the likes of Alexis Mac Allister after the previous break being an issue in the Wolves game that followed.
The South Americans are back relatively late again this time (and there is another early kick-off on the first Saturday back, for the third time in a row, with the Merseyside derby put into that slot) but more of an issue could be an injury picked up by Andy Robertson.
The Scotland captain is heading back to Liverpool for an assessment of a shoulder problem and it remains to be seen how bad that is. Hopefully it will only be a short-term injury that is not as bad as it could be.
