Ajax wonderkid Jorrel Hato has hinted that his dream is to one day sign for Arsenal, despite rumours that Liverpool are interested.
With the Netherlands international signing for Arsenal this summer, Hato has since stepped in for Timber for Ajax, with the teenager already attracting some major interest, namely from Liverpool.
Football Transfers claimed that Jurgen Klopp wants to bring the youngster to Anfield, though Hato himself has seemingly hinted that his dream is to join Arsenal.
The Dutch teenager said: “Unfortunately he [Timber] was seriously injured in his first Premier League game for Arsenal, but he is still young and has a bright future ahead of him.
In any case, the move to Arsenal was a wonderful one for him. It is also my dream to one day make such a transfer, but I realise that I still have a very long way to go.”
At 17, Hato has already found himself as a regular for one of Europe’s biggest clubs in Ajax, and Liverpool can’t allow the defender to join Arsenal.
The teenager is a superstar in the making and also fits a defensive profile that Liverpool are eager to add to their squad in the upcoming January transfer window.
And as a result, the Reds must now be working to convince Hato to join Liverpool, a task that could be difficult given Arsenal’s growing influence in the market.
