Qualifying for Euro 2024 is almost complete, and for Kostas Tsimikas, it’s been an impressive international showing for the Liverpool defender.
Heading into their final two qualifying matches, Greece sit second in a group containing France, the Netherlands and the Republic of Ireland, with Tsimikas being a notable star.
And the stats have now backed it up, with WhoScored showing that Tsimikas has the best dribble success rate out of anyone in qualifying with an incredible 90%.
Beating out the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Jeremy Doku and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Liverpool defender’s record is nothing short of impressive, and Tsimikas will hope to push Greece over the line.
The Piratiko have not qualified for a major international tournament since the 2014 FIFA World Cup, yet the 2004 Euro champions could be on the cusp of a return in next yeat’s competition in Germany.
And if Greece manage to beat the likes of Holland to the final qualification spot, they will have Tsimikas to thank, with the Liverpool defender being essential in this qualifying process.
Greece’s international reputation has never been as low in the 21st century as it has been in recent years, yet things are now starting to turn around for the Mediterranean nation, in large part to Tsimikas.
The defender has been an inspiration for Greece during Euros qualifying, and Liverpool will be pleased with what they have seen from Tsimikas during the process.
