Gary Neville has named Alisson Becker as the best goalkeeper in the world, with the Liverpool star in top form once again this season.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the pundit named the 31-year-old as the best in his position, with Neville saying: “I think he’s the best goalkeeper in the league and in the world.”
Alisson has been world-class since joining Liverpool in 2018, yet the last 12 months have seen the Brazilian play some of his best football yet for the Reds.
The former AS Roma shot-stopper has arguably been the best keeper in the Premier League this season, and Alisson could be in with a shout of currently being the best in the entire world at this moment.
And it’s a statement that Neville seems to agree with, with the former Manchester United captain clearly a massive fan of the Liverpool superstar.
Alisson’s form has been key for Liverpool this season, and it’s no understatement to say that Jurgen Klopp’s side would be lost without their main man in goal.
The South American sensation has been Liverpool’s best player this campaign, and without Alisson’s quality, the Reds wouldn’t be dreaming of an unlikely title push.
Indeed, Alisson has been one of Liverpool’s best signings in the Premier League era, and a good case can be made that the Brazilian is currently the best keeper in the world.
