Liverpool have been linked with Athletic Bilbao attacker Nico Williams in previous months.
The Reds, should their interest be concrete, will face a stern test to bring the Spain starlet to Anfield after growing competition from around Europe.
However, president Jon Uriarte has seemingly poured cold water on any possibility of a move from the Basque country for the 21-year-old.
Another player mooted with a move to Merseyside in recent months is Torino defender Perr Schuurs. Liverpool’s next port of call for reinforcements is the backline with the summer bringing a number of names linked with a swap to Anfield.
Dutch defender Schuurs was one of them but any move to the club could be in doubt as he is set to undergo surgery after injuring his anterior cruciate ligamenets.
