Jurgen Klopp has warned his Liverpool team not to take Thursday night’s opponents Toulouse lightly.

The Reds host the French side at Anfield in the Europa League and a shock win would send the visitors top of Group E.

Despite looking to challenge for the Premier League title this season, Klopp has confirmed his desire to take the competition seriously.

That has so far proven to be the case, albeit the group stage perhaps affords more chance to rotate.

Klopp’s hopes of securing safe passage into the knockout rounds have been given a boost with Cody Gakpo’s return to training. The Dutchman suffered a knee injury during the controverial defeat to Tottenham but is available again in at least some capacity.

Andy Robertson, however, remains injured after undergoing successful surgery on a shoulder injury sustained while playing for Scotland during the international break.

Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic are also absent and are not yet in team trainng.

Liverpool predicted lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Quansah, Tsimikas; Endo, Jones, Gravenberch, Salah, Nunes, Jota

Injured: Thiago, Bajcetic, Robertson

Time and date: 8pm BST on Thursday 26 October, 2023

Venue: Anfield

TV channel and live stream: TNT Sports
