After suffering a hamstring injury, Fulham may benefit from Adama Traore’s injury.

Spain winger faces a late fitness test to determine his availability for tough Anfield assignment

Adama Traore could be fit for Fulham’s trip to Liverpool on Sunday after overcoming a small setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.

The Spanish international will undergo a final assessment on Saturday to determine whether he can play at Anfield.

After appearing off the bench in three of Fulham’s first four Premier League games of the season, Traore suffered a hamstring injury in a behind-closed-doors friendly match during the September international break.

The 27-year-old winger returned to make a substitute appearance in the 3-1 defeat by Aston Villa on November 12, but then had a setback with his injury.

Traore, who joined Fulham as a free agent in August, was not risked in Monday’s dramatic 3-2 win over former club Wolves at Craven Cottage, but left the stadium walking freely.

The former Barcelona, Villa, Wolves and Middlesbrough man has made just five appearances in all competitions since signing for Fulham and is yet to be handed a first league start.
