The boss will conduct his usual pre-match press conference from the AXA Training Centre as the Reds look to build upon the momentum of two positive results after the international break.
Join us as we bring you the latest from Kirkby ahead of another big trip on the road to face the Blades for the first time since 2021.
Thank you as always for getting involved with the live updates from the AXA.
All of the reaction to Klopp’s press conference will be here on This Is Anfield, where we provide live coverage of every press conference and Liverpool game!
Another big one awaits tomorrow, up the Reds!
The manager got through plenty there!
He told us that he is not fully sure on the extent of the damage to Joel Matip, but he admits it looks “not good” for the defender.
Alisson and Jota are progressing in the right direction towards a return, with the former “closer” but neither in the conversation for this week.
Klopp also gave us an interesting insight into his thoughts on Trent’s position, insisting he is “not stubborn” but that he wants the vice-skipper to play where he is most “influential.”
Plenty to unpack, stick around on This Is Anfield for all of the reaction!
“A player with his numbers I’m not sure I will ever coach again.
“As a player and a man it is a very impressive development. All-time great, without a shadow of a doubt. He is right up there and it is super special.”
There will be a lot of passion, Chris Wilder in the dugout I’m sure he will get a great reception.
“But we have to play a really good game.
“They will be really going for it I’m 100% sure and we will as well.
“The better we play the more difficult it will be for Sheffield and that’s what we have to do.”
Diogo was running yesterday outside, and everything goes in the right direction but nobody told me he will be back in training today.
“Ali is closer but he will not be ready for tomorrow definitely.”
It’s not good, but how long? I don’t know”
“The scan is not done yet.”
We play where we think is best for him. He became one of the most successful players in the history of the club as a right-back.
“He will play where it’s best from us. I’m not stubborn and don’t want to play him in midfield, but I am not part of these discussions.
“He wants to play and from my point of view he wants to be influential, and from my point of view we have to help him with the position.”
That’s how football is, I can see that we try to shoot from 40 yards until we see that is too far!
“It is a good thing to have great set pieces, scoring from distance, what we will need.
“We do not want to be too predictable.
We start with three strikers and one on the bench.
“To be successful you need a strong squad, that’s clear. I think about who we have available and try to use them all.
“It’s tomorrow night and then 12.30pm and then Thursday, from then we go again until the new year.
“The players from the bench were very impactful [against Fulham].”
We are two points behind Arsenal by the way, is that decided or not?
“Our late winner was very important for everything.
“We can take a lot of things into tomorrow, the spirit and things like that are really helpful.
“I don’t think a second about where you could end up, we have to be there until April, if we are still there then we can talk but I have no clue where we will be in April.
“It’s so tough what’s coming up now, so there’s no chance we will think ahead of the next game.
“Focus on Sheffield United, go for it.”
Our goalkeeper, and Ali especially, explained to me ‘We are front-footed goalkeepers’ and I know that.
“These things happen [mistake on Sunday].
“We can expect good set pieces and long balls from wide free-kicks, we need him to be there, offensive and get off his line.
“Besides that, absolutely fine with everything.”
I remember the way Sheffield United used to play under Chris Wilder with the overlapping wing-backs, that was part of it.
“We have to focus on ourselves, I don’t think it will change too and we don’t have to think too much about it.
“We play teams with [different formations] quite frequently, so we have to give them a job.
“I’m happy for Chris that he is back in a job. We will play tomorrow, not today in the press conference.”
The foundation is a win win situation.
“I love them all for what they are doing, it’s unbelieable the job they are doing.
“Liverpool is a real institution and people love it anyway for the things we did in the past.”
“If I’m late, it’s because of Ben Foster!”
An interview incoming, perhaps?
The boss has arrived, let’s see what he’s got for us this afternoon.
Not a rousing endorsement of the hosts’ season so far!
