It is an early press conference from the boss as he prepares for his side’s latest challenge, with the Reds bidding to keep themselves firmly in the title picture at the start of the new year.

Klopp will address the media at 9.45am (GMT) at the AXA Training Centre, where we are expecting a full fitness update for the squad and his thoughts on where his team are placed at the halfway point in the season.

Plenty to sink our teeth into as always, with the boss insinuating that Andy Robertson and Alexis Mac Allister are making solid progress with their journeys back to fitness.

He also praised the defensive improvements his side have made, while adding that being favourites on Monday means very little.

Klopp emphasised the importance of Jota’s return, and insisted that plans can’t yet be made for life without Salah when he heads off to AFCON next month.

We’ll be covering the press conference in depth on This Is Anfield, as well as providing all of the usual build up to our next big test in the Premier League.

“We have to be sensible, that’s how it is. It’s a growing issue [with Bajcetic] and we just have to be careful.

“It’s a medical decision, that’s how you have to do it if something like this happens and it’s frustrating for the boy.

“Thiago is in a good moment as well, we just have to make sure we don’t use him too early as well.

“It’s all about how he will be back in the long term and that’s what we are working on
