Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are interested in signing Armando Broja from Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
That is according to journalist Ben Jacobs, who has reported Chelsea’s stance on Broja.
Well, according to journalist Ben Jacobs in GiveMeSport, Aston Villa are among the clubs interested in signing Armando Broja from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the final days of the January transfer window.
The reporter has noted that Chelsea will sell Broja for £35 million. Villa “like Broja but haven’t yet made an enquiry”, according to the journalist.
Jacobs has added that Wolverhampton Wanderers do not want to pay £35 million for the Albania international striker, who was linked with Fulham in the summer of 2023.
West Ham United are also reported to be interested in the 22-year-old, who is very fast and was described by former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville as “a really, really exciting talent” on Sky Sports Premier League in February 2022.
In my opinion, Aston Villa should not pay £35 million for Chelsea striker Armando Broja.
I do not think that Broja has done enough to merit a price-tag of £35 million.
Yes, Broja is a very talented and promising young striker. He is 22 and can develop and improve even further.
But, Villa need to sign a striker who would be able to make an immediate impact. After all, Unai Emery’s side are in the race for the Premier League top four this season.
Broja has made 58 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The striker has scored eight goals in those games.
