Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea Fc news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
Callum Wilson has been linked with a move to Chelsea Fc over the past few days – and it seems that the Blues will have a chance to get a deal done for the striker.
Chelsea fans all know that the board have really struggled in front of goal this season and it has not been any secret that signing a new striker has been on the agenda of boss Mauricio Pochettino.
However – the transfer window has not brought the type of business that many people had hoped for and Chelsea have struggled to make any serious offers for their top transfer targets – which has meant that they have had to change tactics.
CHELSEA FC, Arsenal, Manchester United and West Ham are in the market for Wilson after learning of rumours this weekend that the Toon are not prepared to let the England striker leave the club.
The Magpies have already turned a loan swoop down for the 31-year-old from Atletico Madrid, while AC Milan have also shown interest this month.
But the Toon must sell before buying to remain within Financial Fair Play rules, and the centre-forward’s contract is up next summer.
And amid the speculation – his manager Eddie Howe has insisted all clubs could lose their best talent because of FFP.
He said: “[Wilson] is 100 per cent committed to Newcastle. We want two fit strikers and want to keep him, but obviously, some things are out of my control.”
He added: “It’s been a difficult window so far. It’s the first time since I’ve been manager that we’ve been linked with players leaving. That creates an unsettling dynamic.
“We want to keep our squad intact and keep our best players, but I’m also aware of the club side and FFP is affecting all clubs. We’re no different to any other club.”
Wilson is at the club that he loves – he has no desire to leave the Toon and making a move to CHELSEA FC at this stage of his career would not really be one that he would enjoy
The money would be great – but we doubt he could handle the pressure of leading that Blues attack and would surely find himself on the bench most weeks.
OSIMHEN LEAVING NAPOLI –
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed Victor Osimhen will leave the club this summer, and Chelsea FC are tipped to land the striker.
It is no secret that Chelsea have been eyeing a move for Osimhen even before Mauricio Pochettino took over as boss last summer – but have been unable to get a deal done as Napoli had no intention of letting him leave.
The transfer speculation has continued this January window as CHELSEA FC were still keen to sign a big-time striker – but with the financial fair play rules catching everybody out – no deals have really been done this month.
The 25-year-old penned a new deal in Naples last month, but it is said to include a release clause of £112m – and it now looks like Napoli are willing to cash in on the star as De Laurentiis has explained he already knows Osimhen is leaving.
He said: “This [Osimhen’s exit] was already known since this summer, our negotiations [over the new contract] were friendly, otherwise it would not have been so long.”
And the president even hinted at where Osimhen will be heading by the end of the season.
He said: “We knew he would go to Real Madrid, PSG or a top English club.”
Osimhen is a world class striker that has the ability to score goals – and that is what Chelsea desperately need – so the news that Napoli are prepared to let him leave will give the Blues a real chance to get a deal done.
They are prepared to meet that £112 million asking price – they are prepared to offer him the wages he desires and they also know that Madrid cannot do that, Arsenal will not do that and a move to France will be seen as a step backwards from the Italian League.
CHELSEA FC will surely be favourites to get a deal done for the player.
RAMIREZ WANTS TO WIN EVERYTHING –
New Chelsea Fc signing Mayra Ramirez has opened up and confirmed that she has joined the Blues to help the club win everything.
Ramirez joined Spanish side Sporting de Huelva in July 2020 and established herself as a key figure in the club’s attack over the following two seasons. Her form earned a move to Levante.
She handled the transition with ease. Last season in Liga F, Ramirez scored 14 goals and registered a further 11 assists. This term – before her switch to west London – she had struck six times in seven matches.
CHELSEA FC has been keen on signing a striker in this window after Sam Kerr suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during a warm weather training camp in Morocco earlier this month.
She signs for a reported British record transfer fee of £384,000 plus £42,000 in potential add-ons, and the striker has admitted that she is hoping to win everything that she possibly cant with Chelsea Fc
‘It’s always about the collective,’ she explains after pulling on a Chelsea shirt for the first time. ‘I want to help the team win every competition we’re in this season. It’s about achieving the objectives of the club.
‘It is one of the best leagues in the world,’ she says. ‘Spain is, of course, a good league too – and Barcelona play at the highest level. But I think the overall level of the Women’s Super League is now the best.
‘So I am very excited to discover what the league is like and enter a new environment here’.
I will always give 100% and always give my best for every team I play for.
‘I feel I can bring strength, speed, and goals to the team. I am confident I can do well, help the team achieve what we want this season, and be one of the top teams – if not the best – in Europe.’
CHELSEA FC’s manager, Emma Hayes, said: “I think everybody knows her qualities. She’s so excited to be here and we’re really, really excited to have her. Her physicality is unbelievable, it really is. She’s got so much size but presence and power and she’s quick with the ball.
‘She’s a threat in the box, she scores goals. She doesn’t speak English, so two or three of us are helping her with that. It will take a little bit of time to settle. But I’m sure she will bring a lot of qualities to our league.”
