Two sides in the fight for the Premier League title go head-to-head on Sunday afternoon when Liverpool travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal.

There’s plenty of pressure on the Gunners with the gap between the two teams standing at five points but Mikel Arteta’s side held their nerve to win 2-1 away at Nottingham Forest.

The Reds have looked really strong of late, having just waltzed past Chelsea 4-1 as they aim to send departing manager Jurgen Klopp off in style.

Here’s all you need to know about Arsenal vs Liverpool in the Premier League.

What time does Arsenal vs Liverpool kick-off?

  • Location: London, England
  • Stadium: Emirates Stadium
  • Date: Sunday 4 February
  • Kick-off Time: 16:30 GMT / 11:30 ET / 08:30 PT
  • Referee: Anthony Taylor
  • VAR: David Coote

Arsenal team news

Midfielder Thomas Partey has suffered another setback in his return from injury, with Arteta uncertain of a potential return date. Fabio Vieira and Jurrien Timber are both still injured and unavailable.

Takehiro Tomiyasu is still at the Asian Cup with Japan but Mohamed Elneny is available again after Egypt were knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations. Gabriel Jesus does have a knee issue but is still expected to start unless it worsens before Sunday.

There is also a decision to make in midfield after Emile Smith Rowe unexpectedly started against Forest.

Arsenal predicted lineup vs Liverpool (4-3-3): Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.

Liverpool team news

There are some much tougher decisions for Klopp to make when it comes to his team selection. He chose to start Conor Bradley over Trent Alexander-Arnold against Chelsea and the youngster scored, but he is likely to be dropped to the bench for this massive game.

Through injury and international duty, Liverpool are still without Wataru Endo, Mohamed Salah, Kostas Tsimikas, Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak, Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara. There is also concern over the fitness of Alexis Mac Allister after the Chelsea game, but Klopp may have little choice but to start him.

There may be a return to the starting lineup for Andy Robertson after his long injury lay-off, which would mean Joe Gomez dropping to the bench.

Liverpool predicted lineup vs Arsenal (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Jones, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Jota, Gakpo, Diaz.

Arsenal vs Liverpool score prediction

This game really has the potential to be a classic. Both teams have a host of attacking talent and Arsenal really need to attack and ensure they get all three points, with a draw not of much use at this stage in the season.

However, Liverpool are regular goalscorers against all types of opponents and have shown already this season they can beat Arsenal on their home pitch. With their first-choice defence also back in action, the Reds will be difficult to beat on Snuday.

With plenty of stake, there might not be anything to separate the two title challengers come full-time at the Emirates.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-2 Liverpool
