Gunther is ready to celebrate reaching a new milestone as Intercontinental Champion.
Earlier this week, Gunther’s Intercontinental title reign passed the 600-day mark. WWE has announced that Gunther will celebrate the milestone on Raw this Monday (February 5):
Gunther is the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history. His reign began when he defeated Ricochet on SmackDown in June 2022. Gunther’s most recent title defense was a victory over Kofi Kingston on last Monday’s Raw.
A Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar match was being planned for WrestleMania 40, but that will no longer be happening with Lesnar out of WWE’s creative plans following Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis.
