Jamie Carragher wasn’t happy with Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard’s actions after his team’s 3-1 win over Liverpool. He told Ødegaard to ‘get down the tunnel’ following his post-match celebrations.

Liverpool had a tough day, with mistakes from Virgil van Dijk and goalkeeper Alisson Becker proving costly as they gave their Premier League rivals a much-needed victory. This was only the Reds second league defeat of the season— Mikel Arteta’s team was ready for the big match and caught Liverpool off guard.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard scored for Arsenal, while an own-goal from Gabriel gave Liverpool a chance to get back in the game before the break. Things got worse for Jürgen Klopp when Ibrahima Konaté was shown a second yellow card just before Trossard’s goal.

The win has given Arsenal hope for the title, and they certainly enjoyed beating their rivals. After the final whistle, Ødegaard, who played the whole match, turned into a photographer. He took a picture of Gunners club photographer Stuart McFarlane in front of the cheering home fans, but Carragher didn’t like what he saw.

He strongly advised: “Just get down the tunnel, you’ve won a game. It’s three points, you’ve been brilliant you are back in the title race, get back down the tunnel. I am serious — honestly.”

He also made another point stating: “Arsenal deserved the win, Liverpool were so far off. They played poorly, it’s not something we’ve seen of them of late. They’ve got three or four matches until they play Manchester City — that’ll be a massive test of their nerve now.”
