Among those on hand for Monday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony at the University’s Balboa campus were pitchers Yu Darvish, Yuki Matsui and Daniel Camarena, pitching coach Ruben Niebla and right hand common supervisor Josh Stein.
“This is often a enormous portion of modern-day player advancement — being able to analyze development and get it the way in which pitchers and hitters are taking ground strengths and going up through the dynamic chain … into [tossing] the baseball or into the swing,” Stein said. “A office like this gives us a genuine advantage in terms of understanding our players’ advancement and how ready to get them way better.”
