The Astros had nine players from their World Series championship team enter free agency, and so far three of those players have signed with other teams, two have re-signed in Houston, one has retired and three more still are looking for their 2023 landing spot.

Left fielder Michael Brantley joined reliever Rafael Montero as one of the returnees when he agreed to a one-year, $12 million contract Sunday.

Of the three members on the title team still looking for a contract, likely only one — Yuli Gurriel — has a shot at sticking around in Houston. The Astros found their Gurriel replacement when they signed White Sox slugger José Abreu, but they could still bring him back as more of a utility player.

There will be more decisions to be made next offseason with some key bullpen pieces hitting the end of their contracts after the 2023 season.

Here’s a look at the contract situation for each Astros player from the 2022 championship team …

Yuli Gurriel, first baseman
