WWE recently released a number of NXT talents, including Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson and Drew Gulak, as we previously covered here on eWn. Even though WWE decided not to renew Gulak’s contract, it is still in effect. This choice was taken in response to allegations made by former WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey, who stated that Gulak had altered her outfit behind the scenes.
It was said that Gulak’s public remark did not help him, despite an unresolved probe. Shawn Michaels and the NXT coaches reportedly reprimanded Gulak for allegedly having a history of bullying backstage, according to several allegations.
Earlier reports stated that the Rousey incident was not why Gulak departed from WWE.
However, according to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the incident with Rousey was related. Although the investigation was inconclusive, it opened the door for other stories about Gulak, and as a result, WWE decided not to renew his contract.
It’s critical to remember that a number of other reasons were taken into consideration before the Rousey incident was the only factor that led to the conclusion. Gulak’s contract was allowed to expire by WWE because they thought he was disposable.
