After thrashing the Nuggets in Game 6, the Minnesota Timberwolves are close to clinching victory in the conference semi-final series.
Having picked up a left calf strain in Game 4 of the Nuggets’ first-round victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, Murray has been reported as questionable for every postseason game since then.
However, the point guard has gone on to play each time, and scored 16 points on Tuesday as the defending champions took a 3-2 lead in their conference semi-final against the Timberwolves, thanks to a 112-97 victory in Denver. Murray has averaged 20.2 points in the 2024 NBA Playoffs so far.
Despite losing the first two games of the series against Minnesota, Michael Malone’s men are now one win away from securing a third conference finals appearance in the last five seasons.Vlatko Cancar, a Slovenian small forward, remains a long-term injury for the Nuggets, having undergone knee surgery in August. Cancar tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) while playing for the national team in an exhibition match against Greece.
