Following Nick Saban’s retirement, the Alabama Crimson Tide are replacing not only a legend, but nearly half of their team. Kalen DeBoer is taking over a team that lost over 50 players from last year’s SEC championship, College Football Playoff appearance, and final AP Poll ranking. But, since this is Alabama football, the team quickly restocked and ranked second in the Class of 2024 recruit rankings, according to 247Sports. Many of these newcomers will be introduced to Alabama football fans for the first time on Saturday at the spring game.
The event is known as “A-Day,” and the 2024 A-Day Game will take place at 4 p.m. ET from Bryant-Denny.

Perhaps no position group for Alabama will be shifted more than the offensive line, which lost at least three starters from last year’s team. Left tackle Kadyn Proctor transferred home to Iowa after the season before stating his decision to return to Alabama. Proctor was the No. 1 offensive lineman in his class, according to 247Sports, but he will not participate in the A-Day game.
While the top-ranked lineman is unlikely to play, true freshman Casey Poe may. He only started school in January, but 247Composite ranked him as the best interior lineman in the Class of 2024. With LG Tyler Booker as the only available returning starter, Poe might be featured up and down the offensive line.
