Oleksandr Usyk is a deserving champion, and behind him is a Tyson Fury-led chase group of experienced and up-and-coming heavyweight contenders looking to make a dent in the knockout process.

Starting at the top of the heavyweight tree will be our goal. Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. They have to do it twice because it is so beautiful. With his split decision victory over Fury earlier this month, Usyk completed a two-decade journey in Saudi Arabia.

He became the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era and the firste Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999.

His reputation as one of the finest fighters of his generation was further cemented when he followed up his dominance at cruiserweight.

The skillful Ukrainian withstood a barrage of blows from Fury during a taxing opening half of the bout before breaking through at the halfway mark and putting up a spectacular ninth round, in which he came within a hair’s breadth of stopping the stunned Gypsy King.

The fact that the contract contained a rematch option was well known to the public, and this week it was revealed that the two will square off once more on December 21. If Usyk triumphs once more, he will have nothing left to prove. Regarding Fury, whatever of the outcome later this year, there might be one more AJ-shaped domino to fall. Additionally See.

An explosive After recovering from consecutive losses to Usyk, Anthony Joshua has rekindled his knockout skills and dominated his way back into the title picture. Joshua plans to attend this Saturday’s 5 against 5 match in Saudi Arabia, where he will witness Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois battle. The victor will be expected to face possibility.

opponent later in the year for the former world champion united. That might also depend on whether Usyk is made to give up the IBF title, which Joshua and either Hrgovic or Dubois would probably be vying for.

The Olympic champion, who finished 2023 with decisive stoppage victories against Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin, is riding high after his impressive knockout victory over Francis Ngannou. After stopping Mark de Mori in the opening round of the December fight, Hrgovic is undefeated in his career (17-0), while Dubois is 20-2 after stopping Jarrell Miller in the tenth round late in the previous year.

Joshua is willing to accept any offer, particularly if it means he may win the title three times. He will, however, also believe he has bigger fish to

In the build-up to Fury’s bout against Usyk, where the latter had been watching on in Saudi Arabia, Joshua reaffirmed his plans to take on Fury following his demolition of former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou earlier this year. Fury would later make reference to confronting Joshua again. Although it seems to be as close as ever, there is always the uncontested rematch to worry about later in the year.

CEO of Top Rank Bob Arum recently stated to Sky Sports that Fury is still eager to face Joshua in 2025 and that Wembley Stadium would be the perfect location. We’ll see.

With contenders trying to hang on to their last chance to be considered, it feels like a climactic moment for the current crop of heavyweight front-runners. Among the previously listed is Deontay Wilder.

When he faces Zhilei Zhang this weekend in a fight of tremendous punch power, the Bronze Bomber is fully aware of what could be at risk for him. If you lose, that may be it. Win, and win spectacularly, and after being derailed by his shocking defeat to Joseph Parker, there may be a chance for a rematch with Anthony Joshua.
