As reported by Diario AS in Spain, Tsygankov is drawing interest from some of the best teams in Europe following a season in which he scored eight goals and provided seven assists in thirty league games for Girona, securing their place in the upcoming Champions League.
The 26-year-old has told his agency that he does not want distractions, therefore he is not thinking much about his future and is focusing on the Ukrainian national team ahead of the European Championship, which will be held in Germany.
But several clubs have already started to make bids for him. He is under contract with Girona until 2027, and even though his termination clause (€30 million) is reasonable, he and his family are happy there, so he won’t be forcing a move.
Arsenal and Milan are two teams that have already made approaches to Tsygankov’s group. He feels that it is imperative that both clubs, along with Girona, participate in the upcoming Champions League. Tottenham is excited as well, although they’ll be competing in the Europa League.
Girona even offered Tsygankov an extension of his contract with a wage increase, but they were unable to do so, so it is obvious that they will do everything in their power to keep Tsygankov. It appears that things might get hotter after the Euros.
In related news, Artem Dovbyk of Girona was reportedly tempted to join Milan earlier today, making him the most recent striker to be connected to the club.
