Shocking: PFF names Giants’ Wan’Dale Robinson the… see more

For the entire 2024 season, Robinson hopes to continue playing a big part in the offense.

Third-year receiver Wan’Dale Robinson is prepared to continue being a key member of the offense, despite Giants supporters being thrilled with first-round selection Malik Nabers. Despite not having a standout year in 2018, Robinson, a 2022 second-round pick, has a great deal of offensive potential. Robinson’s abilities were noted by Mason Cameron of Pro Football Focus, who listed him as one of the NFL’s top six triple-threat receivers.

Despite his higher volume in his sophomore season in New York, Robinson may not have made an immediate impression, but he did demonstrate that, given his ability to win the play, he profiles as an important member of this offense going future, according to Cameron. Robinson leads all receivers who made the cut for this list among the six; he is in the 94th percentile or above in both the open-target percentage (94.7%) and the contested catch rate (80%). Robinson rarely (only five) was contested, but when he did, he did so quickly and only once resulted in an incompletion. It seems sense that coverage units struggled to match up with his route-running ability. In 2023, Robinson made appearances in 15 games, making eight starts, as opposed to six games, making three starts.

The 5-foot-8, 185-pound receiver ended last season with 60 receptions, 525 yards, and one touchdown.

The Giants’ selection of Malik Nabers as their new top pass catcher may alleviate pressure from Robinson, allowing him to become an excellent complementary offensive weapon.

One of the key factors in the former Kentucky Wildcats player’s game is his ability to be used as a gadget-like player and an extension in the run game
