Italjet, an Italian scooter maker, is expanding its Dragster collection with the arrival of five MotoGP-inspired models in September.
Built to honor its technical relationship with the Gresini Racing MotoGP team, the Bologna company recently announced the release of four Dragster Gresini Racing MotoGP Replica versions, consisting of three’standard’ models and one tricked up 300cc ‘Limited Edition’.
The Limited Edition vehicle boasts premium features like as Óhlins suspension, a full-system Akrapovič race pipe, and a hologram certificate of authenticity.
That’s not all; in addition to being limited to only 75 units globally, Italjet has outfitted the 300cc scooter with MotoGP-style winglets in place of a passenger seat to give maximum tire squashing downforce for rail turns in and out of town.
The response to the Limited Edition Dragster Gresini Racing MotoGP Replica was instantaneous and spectacular,” remarked Massimo Tartarini, CEO of Italjet. “The demand was so tremendous that we increased production from 50 to 75 automobiles, which was initially envisaged. This Limited Edition will be a true collector’s item for aficionados across the globe.
Standard Gresini Replicas will be available in 125, 200, and 300cc displacements, and aside from the distinctive paintjob, there is nothing distinguishing them from the basic Dragster model.
While Italjet touts the Dragster as a “urban superbike,” the top-of-the-line 300cc variant produces only 24bhp.
Prices for regular bikes start at €6399 (£5409) for the 125 and rise to €7499 (£6340) for the 300. The Öhlins-equipped Limited variant costs €9499 (£8030).
