Chelsea has been heavily associated with Atletico Madrid’s potential teenage striker Samu Omorodion in recent days, and apparently have had three offers turned down for him. However, they are not finished yet.
According to some sources, their newest offer was nearing €50 million, while Fabrizio Romano believes it is only “above €40 million” including bonuses. The Italian transfer insider goes on to add that Los Rojiblancos have rejected all approaches and offers.
Chelsea, however, will not give up on Omorodion and will return with new techniques. However, their task is made twice as difficult because Omorodion wishes to remain at Atletico. His intention is to begin preseason with Los Rojiblancos, and Chelsea will have to persuade him before any transfer is finalized.
Given the difficulties that young strikers have had at Chelsea in previous years, it is unsurprising that Omorodion is not rushing at the opportunity. This was his debut season in La Liga, and he was not a regular starter for Alaves, implying that a move to Chelsea may come too soon.
