The Minnesota Wild have some decisions to make before July 1st and some to make after July 1st. One of them is defenseman Declan Chisholm.
Like Mason Shaw, Chisholm is a restricted free agent so the Wild have to make a decision on him soon before July 1st hits on Monday.
Minnesota will have to qualify Chisholm by June 30th in order to retain his rights. As of now, Evolving Hockey has Chisholm projected to get a one year deal just a bit north of $800,000 AAV.
If the Wild can’t get a deal done before July 1st, they will qualify him to keep his rights. The young defenseman played well in his 29 games this season and is a guy the Wild would like to keep.
