Drew Gordon, a former NBA player and Archbishop Mitty alumnus, died Thursday in a car accident in Oregon. He was 33 years old.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, officers arrived on the scene to see a Vanderhall Carmel colliding with a GMC truck. According to reports, Gordon was driving the Vanderhall and died at the site. A carmel is a three-wheeled motorcycle, not a car. Vanderhall’s website contains advisories indicating that some vehicles lack airbags.
Gordon played nine games with the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2014-15 season.
Gordon, a San Jose native, has played professional basketball in the G League, Serbia, Sardinia, Turkey, France, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, and three different Russian teams.
