During the ten-minute practice, Fabio di Giannantonio of VR46 was the fastest rider, but he was only 0.004 seconds ahead of Marc Marquez of Gresini, who crashed early in the Sprint.
Diggia, who finished fifth in the Sprint, and Marquez, another rider in the GP23, chose the medium compound rear and soft front tires.
On the mediums, however, Maverick Vinales of Aprilia and Bagnaia, the current Ducati champion, were only 0.050s behind di Giannantonio.

The Spaniard, who finished second in the Sprint behind Bagnaia, was docked three positions on Saturday night for “riding slowly and disturbing another rider #25 [Raul Fernandez]” during Qualifying 2.
Due to Aleix Espargaro’s withdrawal, Martin will now be in fifth place on the grid, and di Giannantonio will be in fourth place.
After breaking his fifth metacarpal in the Sprint race on Saturday, Espargaro was deemed able to ride in warm-up, but he withdrew to concentrate on the German MotoGP the following weekend, claiming to be in too much pain to even put on a glove.
