Dan Sheehan and Craig Casey will miss Ireland’s second Test against South Africa after being hurt in Saturday’s defeat to the Springboks.
Uncapped Ulster scrum-half Nathan Doak and Connacht’s Dave Heffernan have been named to the team for the second Test in Durban.
Hooker Sheehan was forced to leave at halftime due to a knee injury sustained during the 27-20 loss in Pretoria.
Scrum-half Casey was stretchered off when his head collided with the turf after RG Snyman’s tackle in the second half.
He is expected to be replaced by Munster teammate Conor Murray, with Connacht’s Caolin Blade likely taking Murray’s spot on the bench.
Ronan Kelleher came off the bench for Sheehan on Saturday, and Ulster’s Rob Herring is also in the party.
