ST. LOUIS — A few months ago, some St. Louis Cardinals fans expressed dissatisfaction with the team’s last-place performance. That has changed now that the squad has turned around its season and is aiming for first place in the National League’s Central Division.
“They’re the team that’s figured it out,” Dale Dusheke, a Cardinals fan at the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Kansas City Royals, stated.
The Cardinals held an on-field ceremony before the night game to honor legendary manager Whitey Herzog’s memory.
“He gave us excitement, enthusiasm, and a World Series,” lifelong Cardinals fan Scott Draper stated.
