Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is gearing up for the first WNBA All-Star game of her career on Saturday, July 20, at 8:30 p.m. ET at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Clark will get to play with some of the league’s brightest stars, including her Fever teammates Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell. But many are anticipating her first-ever team-up with fellow rookie Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky.
Before the game, Clark and the rest of Team WNBA joined the media crew for a team photo. The former Iowa Hawkeyes star was placed front and center, holding the WNBA All-Star game ball.
Fans were also treated to a first glimpse of Clark and the entire Team WNBA in their All-Star uniforms as they posed for the photo. The moment was captured on video, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look.
WNBA fans loved the fact that Clark was placed directly in the middle and was picked to hold the ball. They shared their similar thoughts on this on social media.
The format for the 2024 WNBA All-Star game is different than previous seasons. Due to the upcoming Olympics, Clark and Team WNBA will go up against Team USA, rather than the Eastern Conference All-Stars going up against the Western Conference.
