Is Angel Reese going to the Olympics? Star rookie lands in Paris where Team USA is gunning for gold… but reveals airline lost her bags!
Angel Reese is not playing in the Olympics for Team USA, but she’s travelled to Paris anyway – without her luggage.
The Chicago Sky rookie, who played in her first WNBA All-Star Game last weekend, confirmed that she had landed in the French capital on Monday despite a major travel hiccup.
‘They lost our bags said we only get ‘$100 in euros’ to shop until they find them but we made it to Paris,’ she wrote on X.
She had previously complained on Sunday night that the airport was a ‘ridiculous disaster.’
And later that night, she posted a picture of an advertisement which read: ‘Don’t let travelling to Paris bring out the parent in you.’
cause babyyyy it already did,’ she wrote underneath. ‘I’m exhausted.’
This season, the WNBA implemented a three-week break from play for the Olympics, and Reese’s Sky don’t play again until August 15.
Reese was not considered to be in serious contention for the USA Olympic roster, which was announced in June.
Fellow rookie Caitlin Clark was named as an alternate but was ultimately snubbed in a controversial move.
The USA women’s basketball team will begin their tournament vs. Japan in a week, before facing Belgium and Germany in the group stage as well.
