NBA player Kevin Durant is in Paris this summer as a member of USA Basketball. After missing only one shot in Team USA’s Olympic first match against Serbia, the forward for the Phoenix Suns topped all scorers with 23 points.
In addition to being one of the world’s greatest basketball players, Durant leads a busy life off the court. In 2019, Durant and his business partner Rich Kleiman co-founded Boardroom, a sports, media, and entertainment firm.
When Durant unveiled Boardroom’s Enterprising Eight on Tuesday, he revealed that Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark were among the eight athletes under 25 who are making waves in both sports and business.
“Caitlin Clark is exponentially increasing the metrics related to women’s basketball. Although she isn’t the first or the only one doing it, she is doing it in a unique way. Clark broke records in streaming and scoring while in college. “The WNBA’s media rights have tripled in just a few months after going pro.”
“Angel Reese’s college achievements and NIL were merely an introduction. Bayou Barbie transformed Baton Rouge into Larry Johnson’s Las Vegas in just two seasons at LSU, becoming the Lady Tigers the most sought-after team in the area. In addition to being that girl on school, Angel rose to prominence as the MOP of the Final Four and gained widespread recognition thanks to her millions of fans and numerous endorsements.”
Since their collegiate rivalries, these two WNBA rookies have been portrayed as rivals; nonetheless, their presence on this list emphasizes that Clark and Reese have both advanced women’s basketball.
