Team USA basketballer Kevin Durant watched on as Simone Biles won her ninth Olympic medal in the women’s artistic gymnastics all-around final at Paris 2024.
The 27-year-old took first place over Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade who took silver, and fellow American teammate Suni Lee.
Among many of the famous faces supporting Biles was Team USA basketballer Kevin Durant, who told Olympics.com’s Nick McCarvel that the women’s all-around individual final marked the first time he had ever watched the most decorated gymnast in history live.
“That was nice. It’s the first time I’m seeing her live,” Durant replied when asked if he was impressed with Biles’ vault that earned a 15.766.
“I wish I had that kind of muscle in my calves,” he continued. “I’m going to have to get in the gym for that.”
