Since the start of the summer mercato, AC Milan have been pursuing a second striker to add to their attacking line, and recently, a new option has arisen, according to a new report.
It has been months since the idea of a three-striker group emerged at Casa Milan, but there has not been any success in bringing this idea to life as of now. Currently, the Rossoneri have Luka Jovic and Alvaro Morata as their strikers, and Francesco Camarda could be the third option for Paulo Fonseca. However, other options could arise.
Recent reports have suggested that Jovic could be shown the door, even after signing a new contract at the start of the summer. Therefore, Camarda could still be the third choice. Alternatively, Jovic may remain, so Camarda could be used sporadically, allowing him to focus on the Futuro squad and minimise pressure.
Regardless of who the third striker may be, the Rossoneri are still looking to the mercato for another option, and reports from Il Mattino (via Pianeta Milan) have suggested that Giovanni Simeone has not convinced Antonio Conte, so they will sell him – and the Diavolo have ‘expressed’ an interest.
After scoring three times and assisting once last season, the club are not opposed to him leaving, and a loan formula could be conceived, which is a teasing prospect for Milan as they seek a low-cost striker.
