Juventus and AC Milan could soon be discussing a swap deal that would see Federico Chiesa and Alexis Saelemaekers go in opposite directions.
As reported by Tuttosport, Juventus think they may have found a solution to their Chiesa problem which suits all parties.
The Italian winger appears to be completely out of the new Thiago Motta project at Juventus and is frantically searching for a new club.
Milan are one of the clubs that has been linked with Chiesa, and there could be a way to sign him without spending big on the transfer fee.
Saelemaekers spent last season working under Thiago Motta at Bologna but they opted not to make the deal permanent given there was a change of coach, with Motta heading to Juventus.
The Bianconeri have been linked with the Belgian winger earlier in the window and they may try and execute a swap deal so Milan get Chiesa as another wide option, and Saelemaekers gets to play under a coach he excelled with.
The main issue is that Chiesa earns €5m plus bonuses right now and that would clash with Milan’s wage structure, but signing an Italian would be helpful in terms of registration rules as Milan have a lack of Italians in the squad.
